Saturday 26th was a day filled with action packed matches for British Football Club!
In the first match of the day, players from BFC Union played friendly rivals ISM. With the ISM team missing several key players, BFC dominated the game and won the match comprehensively. Coombs joined the team for more match practice and added another goal to her recent tally. Debutant F.Kolodziekski bagged 4, whilst strong attacking performances were seen from Kashirin and Dunn. In the BFC defence, Metelskiy and Avaykan played with composure and control. The final score was BFC 8-3 ISM, and a fantastic match played in a great spirit from both teams.

Next up, BFC Rovers faced a new opponent in FC Svyatogor. Rovers had a strong line up, buoyed by the return of Moskaluk and expecting big things from new recruits N.Kolodziejski and Ponicki. Goalkeeper Ponicki was the star of the first half, with a string of fantastic saves to keep Rovers’ tenacious opponents at bay. At the other end, Yagnystinski and Gusev fashioned openings for the home side, but the game went into the half time break scoreless at 0-0. In the second half things opened up a little, as both teams began to find the target and the back of the net on a more regular basis. Two successive Svyatogor goals were countered by a vicious strike from Rovers man of the match Saraev. Svyatogor scored again before Rovers scored again to make it 3-2. The final score was Svyatogor 4-2 Rovers, but an excellent match in which both teams were tested to the maximum and gave their all.Фото 26.11.16, 14 04 02
BFC City were up next against another quick and aggressive Svyatogor side. City started slowly, and had  Kokorev to thank in the BFC goal for a string of important saves. However, defensive errors cost the team as they went 2-0 down. After that, City eradicated the errors and began to take more control of the match, with Khavkin and Ivanov pulling the strings from the City defence. Up front, Lyubimov and Kharitonov worked hard to find spaces, but could not get their shots away in time. Moskaluk scored City’s only goal of the half at the end of a good passing move from back to front. The end of the first half left City with a mountain to climb, with the score line 1-4. In the second half, City matched their opponents man for man all over the pitch. A change in the City goal allowed another City player to shine, with Arefyev making a string of fine diving saves. Khavkin continued to threaten going forward and bagged himself a couple of goals, whilst Kim and Grigoryev played with strength and confidence in several different positions across the pitch. The final score was Svyatogor 8-5 City, but the boys should be particularly pleased with their battling and accomplished second half display.Фото 26.11.16, 16 19 01
