BFC in MYCL wk2

22/05/2017

It was an action packed weekend for British Football Club, as 4 teams had matches in the MYCL on both Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May.

BFS Unity

On Saturday, BFC Scotland had a close match in Division 5 against RBK. Moribayashi scored some fantastic goals, and L.Khrulev put in a superb performance in the BFC Scotland midfield. BFC Scotland lost the match 5-3, but it was a superb team performance in a match that they were unlucky to lose!
On the adjacent pitch, BFC Wales had a very one-sided match against a young Gran Fondo team. The goals flowed for BFC Wales, with M.Dunn, N.Yagniatinski and Sidnev putting in some great team performances. BFC Wales comfortably recorded their second straight win of the tournament so far!

In Division 4, BFC England put in a much improved performance against Hamleys. England went 3-0 down, before two goals from Saraev and Dlamini brought the score back to 3-2. England continued to push for an equalizer, but faced tough resistance from a Hamleys team who ended up winning the match 5-2.
In Division 3, BFC N. Ireland played out a tense 1-1 draw with Moscow Times. The team worked hard as Coach Andy requested, and showed good composure on the ball. Pankov scored the opening goal for
BFC N.Ireland before Moscow Times fought back. Further chances were created but none could be converted and both team went away satisfied with a point each.

BFS Unity v BFC Albion

Onto Sunday, and the day began with two BFC Teams (Scotland and Wales) playing against each other. A strong BFC Wales side raced into the lead, with some excellent teamwork and passing on show. Goals by Zhdanov,  Grachev, Dunn and Sindyukov gave BFC Wales an extensive lead at half time. In the second half, however, BFCScotland kept their heads up and fought back. K.Khrulev was fearless in winning the ball back for his team. Alirezaei made some superb dribbles and runs to carry his team forward, and in the BFC Scotland goal Damian Osutin was unbeatable! With the last kick of the game, M.Hili scored an opportunistic strike for BFC Wales to grab their only goal in a closely contested second half.

BFC England
In Division 4, BFC England played their best match of the tournament so far. They raced into an early lead against KRAM, thanks to a mazy run and finish from Z.Hili, a cool finish from Kashirin and some long range strikes from K.Dlamini and I.Saraev. Galliche was one of BFC England’s top performers as the team took a 4-1 lead into half-time. The second half was a different story, however, as KRAM fought back. Despite Tolan performing heroics in the England goal and, with several chances missed at the other end, KRAM levelled the game at 4-4 as the final whistle went.

BFC N.Ireland
In Division 3, a BFC N.Ireland team missing several key players performed admirably against one of the division’s strongest teams – Pepsico. BFC N.Ireland took the lead through Nevredinov, before Pepsico quickly began to take control of the game. However, N Ireland continued to fight, with some superb passing combinations on show!
Coombs put in a fantastic performance in the center of the pitch, and B.Petrov was a rock in the BFC N.Ireland defence. In goal, Andriyuk made some superb reaction saves. BFC N.Ireland lost the match, but can be proud of their efforts and performance against an older and more experienced opponent!
