Ready to hit the pitch? Let’s go!

09:00 - Arrival and Discussion

The day begins at 9:00 AM. As campers arrive, they are greeted by the friendly BFS coaching staff. The atmosphere is buzzing with excitement as kids from different backgrounds come together, united by their shared love for football. We start with a brief discussion where coaches outline the day's schedule, themes, and objectives. This morning meeting sets the tone for the day, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and ready to make the most of their time on the field.

09:30-12:00 – Morning Training Session

After the initial discussion, it's time to hit the field for the first training session of the day. This session, lasting from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, is focused on specific themes such as dribbling, ball control, passing, and shooting. Each day, a different skill is highlighted, allowing campers to develop a well-rounded game. The training is designed to be both challenging and engaging, with a mix of drills and exercises that keep the kids motivated and excited.

For example, a dribbling-focused day might include cone drills to improve agility, one-on-one challenges to enhance competitive spirit, and fun games that encourage quick thinking and creativity on the ball. The coaches provide personalised feedback and encouragement, helping each camper to improve their technique and gain confidence.

12:00-12:45 – Lunch and Rest Period

After an intense morning session, it's time for a well-deserved break. Lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. We encourage players to bring nutritious meals and snacks for the day to keep them fueled and ready for the afternoon activities. The lunch period is also a time for the children to relax and socialise. They can participate in quizzes and games organised by the coaches, fostering a sense of community and friendly competition off the field. This rest period is crucial for recovery and helps to prevent burnout, ensuring that everyone is ready for the second half of the day.

12:45-14:45 – Afternoon Training Session

The afternoon session kicks off at 12:45 PM and focuses on small-sided games. These games are an excellent way to apply the skills learned in the morning session in a more dynamic and competitive environment. Our football themed games typically involve fewer players and a smaller playing area, which encourages more touches on the ball, quicker decision-making, and greater involvement from each participant.

Campers are grouped by age and skill level, ensuring that everyone is challenged appropriately. The games are fast-paced and fun, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Coaches are actively involved, providing guidance, making tactical suggestions, and ensuring that the games are played in a fair and respectful manner.

14:45 – Analysis

As the afternoon session winds down, the focus shifts to analysis. At 2:45 PM, campers gather with their coaches to review the day's activities. This analysis period is a valuable learning opportunity, allowing children to reflect on their performance, understand their strengths and areas for improvement, and set goals for the next day. Coaches may use video footage, tactical diagrams, and individual feedback to help children gain a deeper understanding of the game.

15:00 – Departure

By 3:00 PM, it's time for campers to head home. The day concludes with a brief wrap-up where coaches recap the key takeaways and remind everyone of the schedule for the following day. Children leave with a sense of accomplishment, eagerly looking forward to another day of football and fun. Parents pick up their tired but happy kids, often hearing enthusiastic recounts of the day's highlights during the ride home.

It's an environment where young football players can hone their skills, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.
