In the world of youth sports, few things are as exhilarating and developmental as football training. At British Football School we turn aspiring young athletes into skilled players who can score goals, run with the ball proficient, make vital tackles and saves and better in-game decisions - all with increased confidence! Our training is focused on both individual and group work. We aim to give young footballers an experience to be educated in the British coaching methodology and practices, and provide cultural exchanges that will help them learn English in a fun and engaging environment. The training is led in English by UEFA qualified coaches. Apart from the regular training sessions we offer in Bucharest, we also organise a variety of international holiday camps across Europe. In them we incorporate fun, fast moving games that enable children to enjoy the ultimate football camp experience regardless of their ability.
But what do the kids themselves think about their training experiences? In this blog post, we dive into the candid feedback from the V V C v V v V. B/c. Re B r to V VCard V v V V children who have walked onto the pitch, learned the rules, and aimed for glory under the guidance of our experienced coaches.
A Firsthand Look at Training
Football training for children isn't just about learning how to kick a ball; it's a comprehensive growth experience that encompasses physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and fun. Here’s how the British Football School ranks in the eyes of its youthful footballers:
- The Fun Factor
For many kids, the enjoyment of the sport is crucial. Training sessions that blend fun games with skill development tend to receive the highest marks from young players. Children often highlight the excitement of learning new tricks and the thrill of playing matches against their peers.
Oliver, 9 years old, shares:
“I love going to football training! We play a lot of fun games, and I’ve made lots of friends. My favourite part is when we practice scoring goals.”
- Skill Improvement
Parents and children alike are keen on seeing tangible improvements in skills. Feedback often points to the satisfaction and pride children feel when mastering a new technique, be it dribbling, passing, or shooting.
“Before I started training I could barely dribble without tripping over the ball. Now, I can dribble past my brother, and he’s really fast!” - Emily, 11 years old
- Coaching
The impact of a coach can be profound on young athletes. Reviews frequently commend our coaches who are not only knowledgeable but also patient and encouraging with their young students.
Jacob, 10 years old, notes:
“My coach is awesome! He teaches us a lot but also makes sure we’re having fun. He always says, ‘Mistakes are just chances to learn.’”
- Team Spirit and Social Skills
Football is a team sport, and one of the invaluable lessons it teaches is teamwork. Kids often appreciate the social aspect of their training, highlighting how they have learned to work together and support each other.
“I like playing with my teammates. We help each other get better. If someone falls down, we always help them get up.” - Sophia, 8 years old
The Challenges and Triumphs
While the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, it doesn’t come without its challenges. Some children mention the initial difficulty in understanding the rules or mastering certain skills. However, these challenges are usually seen as stepping stones to greater achievements, celebrated by both coaches, peers and parents. At British Football School we ensure that kids have a fantastic experience of playing football, learning new games and skills, meeting new friends and having lots of fun while doing so.
The voices of young athletes are powerful testimonials to the effectiveness and joy brought by our training programs. From the initial beginner dribblers to the confident goal-scoring kickers - the journey of these young footballers is both inspiring and affirming. As they continue to train and grow, one thing is clear: the future of football looks promising, and it's in very capable hands.
